Brentwood Half Win Sports Event of the Year

And the Brentwood and Rochford Sports Event of the year goes to… THE BRENTWOOD HALF MARATHON

The wonderful Brentwood Half Marathon won big at the Brentwood and Rochford Sports Awards last night.

This event which is a brilliant collaboration of ideas, expertise, experience and fun between Brentwood Running Club, Baker Labels, Saint Francis Hospice, Brentwood Theatre and the Brentwood a Becket Rotary Club is now in its 44th year.

Over the years the race has raised thousands of pounds for local charities and changed countless lives. Every March the town comes to life as people cheer on thousands of runners over the 13.1 mile course. It visits some of the greenest places in Essex and is run completely by volunteers, and every penny raised goes to worthy local causes and will always do so.

Team BRC plays a huge part in running the event - so well done everyone!
